Best Time for the Mohare Danda Trek
Mohare Danda Trekking is best enjoyed in the spring, from March to April, and in the fall, from October to November. Because of their consistent weather and pleasant atmosphere, these two seasons are ideal for Mohare Danda Trek. With clear skies and sunny days, the temperature is still mild, but you may feel chilly in the mornings and at night. The trail also blossoms with various plants in the spring and has a festive aroma in the fall.
The off-seasons are the monsoon and winter. The trail becomes slick and muddy, and landslides are likely during the monsoon. Similar to how dense fog obscures sight in the summer, heavy snowfall increases the likelihood of route obstruction in the winter.
Weather
Autumn’s post-monsoon season: Rainfall in the area starts to decline around early September. As the months that follow with warm days and freezing nights/mornings arrive, the climate begins to get colder. The daily temperature fluctuates between 0 °C and 30 °C. Typically, the temperature starts to drop below -0 °C in late November. The days also begin to get shorter.
Springtime is the pre-monsoon season. The area starts to warm up in March, while there is still a slight chill in the mornings and evenings. The temperature during the day can reach up to 30 °C or more in the lower elevation, and there may be sporadic afternoon thunderstorms.
The environment invites a variety of vegetation, and the growth of greenery starts.

Itinerary for the Mohare Danda Trek
The Mohare Danda was created as a recently opened trekking route for nature lovers as a new trekking model whose benefits are distributed directly to the local communities due to the trekking trail changing to the higher Himalayas in the Annapurna Region due to the development process of roads. To avoid the traffic of hikers at Poon Hill, the Annapurna offers an alternate trail.
Mohare Danda begins at the town of Galeshwor in the Myagdi district of the Dhaulagiri zone, 3 Kilometers from Beni, and is situated southwest of the Annapurna Conservation Area. After travelling 86 Kilometres (in 4 to 5 hours) from Pokhara, you can join the trail that ascends the Mohare Danda after crossing the Kaligandaki River, passing through the typical villages of Banskharka, Dora Danda, Danda Ketari, Banwade, and Nagi. From there, you can descend to a wilderness trail that leads to the Danda Kharka, Pyari Barahi Tal, Thula Kharka, and Tikot. And From Pokhara, the trek can often be completed in 5 days.
However, the journey can be prolonged up to the Annapurna Base Camp or extended to include the Khopra Ridge Trek via the most well-liked Poon Hill Trek.
