Lower Dolpo Trekking
Lower Dolpo is famously known as; the hidden treasure of Nepal’. Lower Dolpo is unspoilt exhibiting the natural and human magnificence at its best. The region was opened in 1990 for foreigners making it comparatively new trekking region in Nepal. Lower Dolpa lies in the Karnali zone and requires special permission to trek. Flora and Fauna

In fact, you will be encountering exotic animals like Snow Leopard, Himalayan Musk Deer, Blue Sheep, Himalayan Black Bear, etc. Moreover, Dolpo region traverse composes of three high passes;Kangmara La at the altitude of 5115m, Numa La Pass at the altitude of 5360m, making it the highest point of the trekking journey and Baga La Pass at the altitude of 5070m. All these high passes offer the stunning view of the dazzling Mt Dhaulagiri(8167m) and Tibetan mountains like Kugung La and Khyung La. Another major highlight of the trekking is Shey Phoksundo Lake. The gorgeous and deepest lake of Nepal at the altitude of 3611.5 m above the sea level.

Tibetan and Magar is the primary habitat of the region. So, you will be witnessing authentic Tibetan and Magar culture along with the ravishing view of monasteries and Gompas.
