Ruby Valley Trekking
Ruby Valley Trekking is one of the admirable trekking routes. These trekking trails lie between two popular trekking areas of Langtang and Manaslu of Dhading. Likewise, this trek takes you on the soulful journey of pristine mountains, marvelous villages, and alluring dense forests. Ruby Valley Trek is a new trekking trail started by TAAN (Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal) and the Ganesh Himal Tourism Development Committee.
What to Expect?
On the trekking trail, you will be seeing the Pinnacle Mountains like Ganesh, Langtang, Bouddha, Hiunchuli, and other peaks. The highest altitude that you will be ascending is the Pangsang pass of 3850m. This pass offers the best scenery of green mountains with the exquisite backdrop of those almighty mountains. Trek really connects you with the soil as you will be staying in the home’s stay accommodation sharing the food and rooms with the locals throughout the trek.
Ruby Valley Trek, a true roller coaster ride gracefully takes you on a deep journey to lakes, forests, and mountains. Arrival in Kathmandu
Our company representatives will be in Kathmandu Airport for your warm welcome and to shift you towards luxury tourist standard hotel. We organize a welcome dinner today in one of the famous restaurant in town and enjoy Nepalese food. Before going to bed, our guide will do short briefing about the trek.
Drive to Syabrubesi from Kathmandu
In the early morning after having satisfying breakfast, we drive to Syabrubesi from Kathmandu which is almost 7 hours drive on rough road via Trishuli River. We will have lunch at Trishuli Bazar and continue our drive. Overnight at luxury hotel in Syabrubesi.
Trek to Gatlang from Syabrubesi
Today we have to trek almost 6 hours. We hike up in a steep trail up to Rongga Bhanjyang for about 3 hours and stop for some photography and rest. From Ringa we descend about an hour to reach Goljung where we will take a lunch break. It takes us 3 more hours to reach Gatlang from the lunch place.
Trek to Somdang from Gatlang
Today, we will start our trek after breakfast towards Somdang village. We pass through Yuri Kharka before lunch which is one of the biggest settlement. This trail goes gradually up and continues towards Khurphu Bhanjyang. We will enter Dhading district from the Rasuwa district after crossing the Somdang River. We will pass the Chukarma Waterfall before reaching the village of Somdang. We will spend night in one of the hotel in Somdang.
We will spend this day around Somdang village. We will also visit the Lari mine nearby. This is a Tamang village with some typical houses and farming life. Overnight in same hotel.
Trek to Tippling via Pangsang Pass La
Today is the most interesting days of the trek as we cross the Pangsang la pass which is the highest point of this ruby valley trek. The large meadow is graced with a giant entry gateway and is a sensational location for camping and taking in the breathtaking scenery. This trekking route is blessed with abundant precious herbal plants which were taken to Tibet along an ancient trade route and exchanged for salt, livestock, wool and turquoise. Moreover, this trekking trail also offers you the most beautiful and the best magnificent mountain ranges views like Langtang ranges, Ganesh Himal ranges, Manaslu ranges and bit of Annapurna ranges.
Trek to Shertung
Today we have to trek down to cross the Adha Khola and trek up to the Shertung village. Shertung is inhabited mainly by Tamang. The name Shertung means the place of gold. Tamang people have own rich culture to show for the visitors jhankri or shaman dance, ghode or horse dance, said to have been brought from Tibetan culture long ago. Spectacular Mountain View of Lapsang Karpu, Ganesh Himal (Yangri) as well as Ganesh II and III can be seen from this village.
Visit Hot Springs and trek back Chalish Gaon
After having satisfying, we have to trek down to Chalish village taking 30 minutes walk from where we will go to Tatopani (hot springs) for taking bath. Enjoy half of the day taking bath with one of the best hot spring of this region. After enjoying, we will return back to Chalish village. Chalish is inhabited primarily by Gurung, Ghale and Kami. The freiendly people of this area have unique customs and craftsmanship and traditional dance like Ghatu Dance. Sri Tinkanya Devi Mandir lies above Chalish. Most of the youngsters of this village are in tourism work as a trek guide, Sherpa, porter or even trek and travel owners.
Trek to Jharlang
Today we have to trek to Mani Danda from where you will see the marvellous Ganesh Himal ranges. Our trek continued passing Deul danda, Gobre village, Chhap danda and Bandari Bhir. Then we arrive at Borang village which is also majority of Tamang people and trek continue to Ukhum for lunch. After lunch, our trek continue to Lishne jungle crossing the suspension bridge. Finally, we reach to Jharlang village which is one of the best and panoramic Mountain View point area.
Trek to Darkha Gaun
Today we have to trek down to Jharlang Phedi passing paddy terraces and surrounding landscapes. Passing through suspension bridges, breath taking views of Ankhu khola and Chhapchyat as well as Ri village other side of the river finally reach at Darkha gaon. This village is mix culture village of Brahmin people and Tamang as well as Dalit.
Trek to Darkha Phedi and drive to Kathmandu
Today we have to trek down to Darkha Phedi taking 45 minutes where our private vehicle is waiting for us which takes us to Kathmandu via Dhading Besi. It wil be our 5-6 hours drive.
On last day focusing your flight schedule, you can offer us a farewell party. Moreover, we will be there to help in your necessary arrangements and packing along our private vehicle transfers you to the airport. Our company members will be there to wish for your safe flight.
