Actual Ghandruk Trek
The actual hiking begins from Nayapool, where a steep slope leads to a bridge (Nayapool) over Modi Khola. One can reach the bazaar of Birethanti by walking along Modi Khola. Ghandruk offers a magnificent view of both snow-capped mountains and beautiful landscapes. If you are planning to visit Ghandruk, it is one of the best, easy and short trekking Nepal has to offer to its visitors, and it also gives the feeling of what it is like to do trekking in Nepal. Usually, Nepalese can go trekking in Ghandruk without special permit and fees, but foreign citizen needs an ACAP permit which the Government of Nepal issues.
After reaching Birethanti’s fringe, there are two paths: one goes west up the Bhurungdi River to Tikedhunga and then to the forested trail to Ghorepani, and the next takes you to Ghandruk. One can find a well-equipped shop in Ghandruk & Birethanti where one can discover groceries from an international brand. Other Ways of Reaching Ghandruk
Ghandruk is one of the easy and short trekking in Nepal. One can reach Ghandruk by using the vehicle from Nayapool. One hour short hike from the vehicle’s last stop takes you to Ghandruk. Similarly, one can trek 6-7 hours from Nayapool to reach Ghandruk. Both local buses and private vehicles can be used from Pokhara to get to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is accessible by helicopter too.
